PRIVACY POLICY

Danone Specialized Nutrition (Singapore) Pte Ltd (the “Company” or “We”) realise the importance of privacy and will handle your personal information (which includes the Personal Data as defined below) in accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy and keep them confidential. Please read this Privacy Policy as well as the Terms & Conditions, which this Privacy Policy forms part of, and understand the ways in which your personal information is collected, used and disclosed. The Company reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions as it deems appropriate. In such event, the Company will give reasonable notice to you of any such revisions and seek your acceptance of such revisions where appropriate.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION FOR MEMBERS

We may collect your name, address, e-mail, address, birth date, gender, contact numbers, occupation, spouse/parent’s details and personal interests (“Personal Data”) when you register for membership. Your Personal Data disclosure is important because we will utilise the Personal Data to present goods and services that may suit your needs and interests. Once you complete the registration process, you will qualify for all privileges as a member. These also include special offers from the Company.

In the event you choose to sign up online using your Facebook account or link your Facebook account to your membership, the Company will receive the following information from Facebook:

  1. (a) your public profile (which includes your name, profile picture, age range, gender, language, country, and other public information);
  2. (b) your friends list;
  3. (c) the e-mail address you use for your Facebook account; and
  4. (d) your News Feed.

If you choose to sign up online using your Facebook account or link your Facebook account to your membership, the above information will form part of your Personal Data and you therefore grant the Company the right to collect, use, and disclose such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Should your Personal Data be stolen, hacked, lost or damaged due to accident or by any other means, without any fault or negligence on the part of the Company, the Company reserves the right to refuse any responsibility for any damages incurred to the extent permitted under Singapore law.

2. COOKIES

Cookies is a small data file that will be collected in your web browser in order to track visiting information. So when you visit our website in the future, the server may immediately recognize that you had been to the website before. We use cookies to personalise your experience in using the website.

Cookies is not a program that will destroy any files in the computer, but it is only used to track visiting information such as which pages users visit, at which pages users usually start and stop, and how frequently users visit the website, etc. We do not use cookies to track the identity of the actual user, so that cookies will only tell if a certain computer has visited our website in the past.

3. USE OF MEMBER’S PERSONAL DATA

The main objective in collecting members’ Personal Data is to enable us to provide information on or offer goods and services that best suit the members’ needs and interests by mail, SMS, phone and e-mail. We will collect, use and disclose the Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

The data collected can be used internally for our in-house affiliated associations.

4. KEEPING MEMBER’S PERSONAL DATA

In case the Company requires additional personal information, the Company will ask for such additional data from you and keep it confidential.

In some cases when the Company needs to disclose your Personal Data to a third party, the Company will notify you of such disclosure in advance. The member always has the right to approve or disapprove of such disclosures, or even to refuse to receive those services as they wish.

Certain promotional or marketing campaign activities that occur in www.nutricia.com.sg may be sponsored by another company, trade partner or business alliance. All or part of a member’s personal information collected from such activities may be presented to the sponsoring company, trade partner or business alliance, in which case the members will be notified before any disclosure. In this event, the member can reserve the right not to participate in these activities.

Remark: In the event you visit other websites that are linked to www.nutricia.com.sg, please be informed that such other websites may collect your personal information. As such collection is not done by the Company, it is not governed by this Privacy Policy or the Terms & Conditions, but by such other websites’ own terms. The Company will not be responsible for the handling of your personal information by any such third party.

5. DISCLOSURE OF MEMBERS’ PERSONAL DATA

Unless required or permitted under Singapore law, we will not disclose a member’s Personal Data to others without the member’s consent.

We may disclose a member’s Personal Data in, amongst others, the following circumstances:

1. 5.1 Information for trade partners and/or business alliances as well as business sponsors. The Company may disclose personal information to business alliances and business sponsors.

The Company will inform you in advance of this intention and seek your consent before the disclosure or transfer of your Personal Data takes place.

2. 5.2 In some promotional campaigns, the campaign sponsors may ask for additional information.

The Company reserves the right to disclose your Personal Data to the sponsor to enable us to respond to your future needs effectively. We will inform you of such a release prior to disclosure, passing on, or transfer, and seek your consent in relation thereto.

3. 5.3 In some cases you may be offered information or special news from a third party. Once you agree to receive such information, your name and e-mail address will be disclosed to the third party and you will be deemed to have consented to such disclosure.

4. 5.4 The Company may also disclose information in the following special cases:

  1. (a) if the disclosure is necessary for any investigation or proceedings;
  2. (b) if the disclosure is necessary for evaluative purposes;
  3. (c) if the disclosure is necessary for the Company to obtain legal services; or
  4. (d) if the disclosure is required by law.

6. CHOICES OF MEMBERS IN PERSONAL DATA COLLECTION, USAGE AND DISCLOSURE

If you consent to receiving information about the Company’s products and services by mail, SMS, phone and e-mail, we will contact you by any of those communication channels to inform you about our news, activities, goods and services.

The Company does not have a policy to sell or lease personal information to outsiders. However, as described above, the Company may disclose your Personal Data to a third party, in which circumstance the Company will inform you of the proposed disclosure prior to the disclosure and in which case you have the right to refuse the request if you do not wish the Company to disclose your Personal Data. You can choose not to use those services or to participate in any promotional or marketing activities.

7. AMENDMENT OF AND ACCESS TO PERSONAL DATA ONLINE OR THROUGH OUR DATA PROTECTION OFFICER

If at any time you wish to know what Personal Data about you that we are holding, or if you have any questions or inquiries concerning your Personal Data, please contact our Data Protection Officer (Ms Michelle Ang, 63950380, michelle.ang@danone.com or Valencia Lai, 63950377, valencia.lai@danone.com). You may also use the aforementioned avenues to withdraw your consent for the collection, use or disclosure of your Personal Data.

8. OTHER ISSUES

Be careful when disclosing personal information while you are online such as when you are using message board, chat room and e-mail. This information may be collected and used by another party. Therefore, you must keep your personal information, login name and password secret.

9. GOVERNING LAW

This Privacy Policy shall be governed and construed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Singapore. Any dispute in relation to this website, all rights and obligations and all actions contemplated by this Privacy Policy and the Terms & Conditions shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Singapore.
